What is microneedling with PRP? PRP microneedling relies on your body’s own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and natural healing responses with the controlled, targeted application of micro-wounds to stimulate increased collagen and elastin production. The PRP is obtained by drawing your own blood, placing the vials in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the PRP and then retrieving only the PRP for your treatment. What if I do not want my blood drawn? While PRP has amazing regenerative effects, it is not required to achieve your microneedling complexion goals. At Blue Sparrow Beauty & Aesthetics, we are highly trained in using multiple skin boosters and exosomes (tiny vesicles filled with rejuvenating growth factors and proteins) that deliver amazing results without the use of PRP.
Is microneedling painful? We apply a topical numbing cream prior to microneedling treatment. Most patients experience mild discomfort, but the treatment is generally well tolerated.
Microneedling Treatment Menu Microneedling with Brightening Glow Serum This appointment is for microneedling without the use of PRP. During this appointment, you will be treated with a dark-spot correcting serum, a glow serum, exosomes, or a combination of the three. Your provider will discuss your skin-related concerns and help you choose your serum (or combination) at your appointment. This treatment requires the application of numbing cream prior to your appointment time. Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment so we can apply the numbing cream in a timely fashion before your appointment. Microneedling with PRP Microneedling with PRP, also known as a “Vampire Facial,” is a full facial skin rejuvenation treatment. This treatment requires a blood draw and then isolates your own natural growth factors by using a centrifuge to spin your blood and retrieve the platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The PRP is then microneedled into your skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This process leads to minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, scars, sun spots, and pore size and leaves you with a youthful, fresh glow. PRP/PRF Under-Eye Treatment PRP or PRF (platelet-rich fibrin, a more concentrated version of PRP) is injected into the tear trough area and under the eye to help tighten and rejuvenate the delicate skin under your eyes. This natural and minimally invasive approach to facial rejuvenation minimizes the risk for side effects and swelling associated with traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. This method can be used on any skin type and on anyone with autoimmune diseases or allergies who are not candidates for HA filler, as we use your own blood to create a natural and customized bio filler. One treatment will produce results, but we recommend 2 treatments within 3 months to optimize your facial rejuvenation. PRF/PRP Tear Troughs with Bio Filler Derma PRF/PRP Bio Filler is a natural filler used to regenerate the delicate tear trough area and improve the appearance of dark circles and hollowness under the eyes. We use your own blood to create a natural and customized bio filler that can be used on any skin type and on anyone with autoimmune diseases or allergies who are not candidates for HA filler. This natural and minimally invasive approach to tear trough rejuvenation minimizes the risk for side effects and swelling associated with traditional HA filler. One treatment will produce results, but we recommend 2 treatments within 3 months to optimize your tear trough rejuvenation journey. PRP Hair Restoration In this treatment, your own blood will be drawn and processed to retrieve the platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The PRP will be injected into the scalp areas with hair loss or thinning hair, using natural growth factors from your own blood to promote hair growth. Be sure to wash your hair the day of the appointment and come to the office with a clean scalp. You will not be able to wash your hair for 24 hours after the injections to maximize the effectiveness of the growth factors injected into the hair loss area.
